Lorna Degarde: The brother gang to the Prima Locas were jumped by some masked man calling himself Black Blade, as they innocently shot off guns and had a little fun. So the Prima Locas went after the man. Lorna had long been on the streets in Seattle, WA; her only family was the Prima Locas. So she would fight this Black Blade figure for the crimes he had committed against the gang and their family.
She had no way of knowing that Black Blade would be her savior. And no way of possibly considering that she would also be Black Blade's savior either, even he couldn't have anticipated that.
Offering her the chance to make something of her life, something better than her gang affiliation, and her young life being ended prematurely. Knowing that even if she didn’t take Black Blade's offer, she had nowhere to go- rightly thinking her gang would think she had taken off with the Black Blade and turned against them, and would kill her if they saw her ever again- asking questions later, after she was six feet under. He later revealed she would be his partner in cleaning up the streets; he needed someone to help him, and share his passion in ridding Seattle of its gang violence....

The Frozen Universe: The entire world was shifting- the way the Earth was going around the Sun was changing, and it seemed it had been doing that subtly for the past several decades. Unfortunately, like most things, this discovery was made just in time for it to be too late. It was almost as if the entire world had been suddenly flash frozen. Some people died where they were walking, others had a chance to run into a building for cover. Snow was falling, and it fell quickly. This weather was a quick determiner of those who would survive, and those who were destine to die.
True leaders are born in these kinds of times, as are heroes.
And villains. (Read More ...)

Wolverine: Wolverine was taken by a group of scientists led by Dr. Cornelius as part of the Weapon X Project. Cornelius was hired to perfect and use a technique that would bond the indestructible element adamantium to human bone cells. Logan's skeleton was bonded to the adamantium, and he was indoctrinated into the Weapon X assassin program.
Wolverine was conscripted by Department H to join and lead Alpha Flight, Canada's government-run super team. During his leadership of Alpha Flight, Wolverine was approached by Professor Charles Xavier, who was looking for mutants to help his students, the X-Men, escape from the island-being known as Krakoa, which had captured them. Wolverine left Alpha Flight to accompany Xavier and rescue the captured X-Men. After Krakoa was defeated, Wolverine decided to stay with the X-Men, for reasons which included that he had fallen for Marvel Girl.
Logan remained with the X-Men for quite some time, at one time being their field commander, and encountered adversaries such as Proteus, Magneto, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, the Brood, the Reavers, demons from the dimension of Limbo, the Marauders, the Morlocks, and even Dracula on one occasion.
Wolverine's affiliation with the X-Men and later the Avengers gives Wolverine a rich history, though his full history has sometimes been a mystery to even him.
